Conference to Focus on Diabetes Research

 A medical conference focusing on the latest developments in diabetes research, the Bahrain Diabetes and Endocrine Review (BDER), will begin today. The conference aims to contribute to the national diabetes prevention plan and will be opened by Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health, at the Gulf Hotel Convention and Spa. The two-day event will feature high-level scientific content, including state-of-the-art presentations, plenary sessions, and clinical symposia. Dr. Wiam Hussein, Chairman of the BDER and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Royal Bahrain Hospital, stated that the conference aligns with the strategic objectives of the national plan for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, including diabetes, focusing on reducing its prevalence and complications through improved diagnosis, treatment, and management. The event will also present the latest technologies in diabetes care and offer networking opportunities for professionals to share knowledge and familiarize themselves with new protocols.
