Diabetes and Endocrine Conference Recommends Preventive Solutions to Reduce Infection Rates
The Bahrain Diabetes and Endocrine Conference, held under the patronage of Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, concluded with a call for the adoption of preventive solutions and initiatives to reduce the spread of diabetes and related chronic diseases in Bahrain. The conference, organized by Royal Bahrain Hospital in collaboration with several companies, exceeded expectations with more than 500 participants, including top doctors and specialists from both local and international fields.
The conference emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about diabetes, correcting misconceptions, and highlighting the complications associated with the disease. It also focused on developing medium- and long-term plans to curb the rising rates of diabetes, in line with the national strategy for combating chronic diseases. The conference further stressed the significance of collaborative efforts between healthcare providers, government sectors, and community organizations to effectively address the growing diabetes epidemic in the region.
