Royal Bahrain Hospital is set to organize the Bahrain Diabetes and Endocrinology Conference on Thursday, February 21 and 22, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health. The conference is being held in collaboration with ICOM, QTC, and Ebtikarg. It aims to address the growing issue of diabetes in the region and discuss the latest advancements in the treatment and management of diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Dr. Wiam Hussein, a senior consultant in endocrinology, emphasized the importance of such conferences in raising awareness about diabetes and reducing its impact on both health and the economy. The event will focus on modern treatment strategies and innovative technologies in the field, providing a platform for local and international specialists to share their expertise. The discussions will also highlight the alarming increase in diabetes cases in the Gulf region, which is expected to affect a quarter of the population by 2030.
